At Mysore Yoga Paris we are dedicated to passing on Ashtanga Yoga in the authentic way called Mysore Style, as taught by Shri K Pattabhi Jois in Mysore, India. Our aim is to share these teachings as accurately as possible whilst encouraging each individual to explore the beauty of this practice for themselves. We aim to direct students to rediscover their own inner wisdom and true nature, which is of course the ultimate quest of all yogic practices.
Kia Naddermier, main teacher and founder of Mysore Yoga Paris has been a devoted practitioner of Ashtanga Yoga for almost two decades. She has studied directly in the lineage of Shri K. Pattabhi Jois and all other teachers at MYP are personally trained by Kia over several years of study and apprentice-ship.
THE WAY WE PRACTISE
Ashtanga Yoga is traditionally practised early in the morning with the rising of the sun. It is beneficial to practise at this time as the Prana (life energy) is at its highest. A daily practice builds a solid foundation of stability and strength, a safe platform from which you can unlock the body and mind and develop self awareness. Practising in silence and moving with your breath enables you to listen internally, allowing your individual practice to deepen and fully unfold.
At Mysore Yoga Paris we solely teach authentic morning Mysore Style classes and Introduction to Mysore for beginners. On Moon Days we do not practice Asana, but instead Kia gives a Moon Day Pranayama class open for everyone.
