ASHTANGA YOGA & PRANAYAMA IN-DEPTH DEVELOPMENT TRAINING
for teachers & established practitioners (150hrs) with KIA NADDERMIER
Including Anatomy, Bio-mechanics & Physiology in Yoga with
PAULA RIOS FERNANDEZ MD PhD
NEW HYBRID FORMAT
Following the success of our previous five trainings, Kia will be offering her 150hr In Depth Development Training 2023/24 – in a NEW hybrid-format: 3 Modules in person and 2 Sessions online
Whether a devoted practitioner or teacher, deepening your practice and sharing your exploration with others will vastly enrich your understanding and experience of the many layers of yoga.
The training includes Ashtanga Yoga, Mysore Practice, the Art of Hands-on Adjustments, Asana Inquiry, Awareness & Observation Skills, Postural Analysis, Anatomy, Physiology & Biomechanics (with Paula Rios Fernandez); Pranayama, Kriyas & Bandhas in the lineage of Kaivalyadham; Philosophy, Meditation and much more.
It is designed for practitioners and teachers seeking to deepen their experience of yoga as it relates not only to our physical body, but also to our inner landscape, energetic currents and the world we inhabit. In other words, honouring the original definition of yoga as a practice that cannot be separate from all that transpires around and within us: the wholeness to which we belong.
Whether exploring Asana, Pranayama, Buddhist Meditation or studying traditional texts, we work from a non-dogmatic, inclusive and creative place, open for personal inquiry. Again and again we return to the wisdom of our body, the pathways of our breath and the generosity of our heart to grow and share our practice with clarity, insight and sensitivity.
Being a devoted practitioner of both Yogic and Buddhist traditions, Kia draws heavily from both streams of wisdom. During the training we immerse into these somatic practices and teachings to cultivate an understanding of yoga as a portal to wholeness and compassion.
This process is further expanded through Paula´s vivid classes where we develop a solid ground in anatomy, biomechanics, physiology and postural analysis.
This multifaceted approach to yoga will offer us crucial insights into how to create a life-long, sustainable and transformative practice that relies primarily on our innate power and wisdom.
The IDT provides ongoing support and inspiration for your personal and/or professional development. It’s content is continuously updated and renewed so it is also greatly enriching for those who have attended previous iterations of the training. This approach to learning and teaching is a circular process of refinement, rather than a linear or finite training.
It grows a rich, diverse and highly informed community of dedicated practitioners to continuously share with and draw from. Although many of our participants are teachers, we make a point of creating a diverse and balanced group in terms of background and interest. We always welcome interested practitioners from many other walks of life.
