1 Week Retreat in Tenerife:
ASHTANGA YOGA, PRANAYAMA, MINDFULNESS SADHANA
with Kia Naddermier
15-22 February 2025
Kia weaves an embodied approach to Ashtanga Yoga with classical Pranayama (Kaivalyadham-lineage), Buddhist Mindfulness Meditation and Compassion Practices.
Being a devoted practitioner in Yogic and Buddhist traditions she draws heavily from both streams of wisdom. During the retreat we immerse into these somatic teachings as vehicles of insight, inviting us to awaken our heart through the wisdom of our body.
Whether exploring Asana, Pranayama or the Buddha Dharma, we work from a non-dogmatic, inclusive and creative place, open for personal inquiry.
Refining our somatic awareness in concert with skilful means and clear understanding is the ground for our journey into each of these subtle domains. Again and again we return to the wisdom of our body, the pathways of our breath and the generosity of our heart to grow our practice from a place of deep listening, curiosity and kindness. This entrustment to the home ground of our embodiment creates a natural sense of belonging and compassion that reaches far beyond our yoga mat.
The retreat is open for all levels with an established Mysore Self Practice.
The retreat is open for all levels, but you need to have an established Mysore Style - self practice.

Each week consists of 6 morning classes and 4 afternoon workshops.
Mornings open with Mindfulness Meditation, cultivating deep awareness aligning body, breath, heart and mind. Kia may guide us through the beginning of practice to set a common intention before continuing with Mysore Style. These classes allow for your personal practice process to unfold, while receiving individual support from Kia and her team to further deepen your experience. A couple of guided Master Classes will also be offered to expand our understanding of embodied anatomy, energetic movements, internal and physical actions and principles of Asana.
The retreat welcomes all levels, but you need to have an established Mysore Style - self practice.
Afternoons are dedicated to the philosophy and practice of traditional Pranayamas in the lineage of Kaivalyadham as well as reflections around the Buddha Dharma, Meditation, Satsang and exploring essential Movement Principles of Yoga Asana.
These mindfully crafted afternoon sessions allow each practitioner to develop transformative skills and embodied resources to help grow their personal practice from a place of deep authenticity and clear understanding.
New students will be mindfully introduced to classical Pranayama & Kriyas, whilst those with more experience will refine and deepen their practice and understanding.
